This week we are hosting another 4 for 40 prize - this time from DT member Andrea! Here is Andrea's idea she wants to share this week - take it away, Andrea!
"One of the things that I truly enjoy about paper crafting is what I like to call “Paper Manipulation”. You don’t even have to have fancy designer paper on hand, just some good old colorful (or plain!) card stock and a little imagination to make your cards dazzle! I like to use CTMH paper because of the white core. I can distress and dry emboss CTMH papers then sand the raised portions for a two tone look. I also like to cut shapes that are a little out of the ordinary. This takes some experimenting but well worth the results when you find a design that works. I always practice on lower grade paper until I find a design that is to my satisfaction, then I break out the good stuff. Anything is possible with a little imagination and a sharp pair of scissors or cutting tool. My challenge to you is to try something different. Work outside your comfort zone and see the endless possibilities that lay before you!"
You've seen Andrea's awesome artwork and this package of goodies is sure to be incredible so get everyone you know to play because we need 40 entries in order for Andrea to send her beautiful artwork to one of you! Here's just one of the cards you could win:
This week's challenge is to create a non-rectangular or square card. Think shape! We want to see your shaped card and here are our samples to share with you! Starting off with our 4 for 40 hostess, Andrea:
Have a wonderful - and creative - week!
Woohoo I'm first!
ReplyDeleteActually I kind of cheated, since my craft room has been taken over by an unexpected guest, I can't get at my stuff to create something new... So I used an old card, hope that's OK?
Wow, the DT rocked this one! Beautiful shaped cards ladies! Thank you for all your talented inspiration every week.
Thanks for another great challenge. All of the DT's creations are great.

ReplyDeleteFun challenge :) Great samples from the DT!
ReplyDeleteI'm usually such a "square" :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for encouraging to get out of my box, literally, and try out a new shape! I love all the great ideas all the other girls came up with and had to think super hard to try and come up with a shape card that someone else had already posted; I decided on a big, fat, friendship flower :)
So many cute ideas! This was a delightful challenge.
ReplyDeleteLove the challenge this week!
ReplyDeleteI put my link on the wrong challenge - sorry about that!
