Create with City Sidewalks

Welcome to the last challenge for November- Christmas is nearly here and what better way to get into the Christmas spirit than creating with City Sidewalks!  Because November ends so soon, we've extend this one November challenge until Saturday, 12/3.

There is both a Paper Collection and Cricut cartridge called City Sidewalks, and so it is up to you which one you use- or you can be extra creative and use both.  Don't have the collection?  Have fun with this festive color combo!

Here is what the design team have come up with for this week's challenge.

Anything BUT a Card

Layouts, boxes, bags, candles, gift bags, trees, brooches, ring boxes, frames, canvases, organizers, tea bag holders, display trays, pencil wraps, tags, cake toppers, hats, cupcake wrappers, pumpkins, gift wrapping, binder covers, pine cones, shelf decor, banners, alphabet cards, learning centre pieces, puzzles, wreaths, mini albums, jewelry, flowers, food holders, card boxes, graduation gifts, mobiles, murals... the list goes on.

I am sure you can think of more items than I have listed here but these are all non-card projects that can be created using paper crafting supplies! Some of these, you may have already tried but we encourage you to pull out all the stops and show us your creations that are anything BUT a card for this week's challenge at Heart 2 Heart! (Please do not back link to a project that you have previously created - we want to see NEW and FRESH projects for this challenge!)

Here are the creations that our design team wishes to share with you!

You have until the end of November to enter this or any of the November challenges.
Be sure your project contains some Close To My Heart supplies as that is a requirement for our entries. If it is not obvious, please provide a list of supplies used in your project. We would appreciate a little shout out or link up mention in your post too.

Holiday Color Challenge: No Red or Green

The weather is changing, temperatures are dropping, the trees are bare and whether we like it or not, snow is on the way.  (or you may have already had some of the white stuff)  For the papercrafter, that means getting into the holiday spirit.

So for this week, we'd love to see your holiday cards or layouts with a twist - - no traditional colours to be used - no red or green!!  What will you come up?

Let's see what the design team has created.

 Shirley Ross

Paige Dolecki..

We look forward to seeing your festive holiday creations using non-traditional colours!!!  Come on and join us.  You have until November 30th to participate in this and any other November challenge.

Changes, Changes!

Hello, Crafty Friends!  This is Laurie from Crafty Sisters Creations and I am excited to introduce this week's challenge here at Heart 2 Heart.  The theme for our challenge is CHANGE!  Think of changes in the weather and seasons, changes in life situations, changes in families and homes and changes as your children grow. There are so many ways to interpret CHANGE and we can't wait to see what you come up with!

Since today is already the last day of October, this challenge will be the FIRST official challenge for November (and the InLinkz will open on the first).  Another change... LOL!

Check out the projects by the Sea Glass Design Team members for a little inspiration.  We hope you enjoy creating your own projects with the theme of CHANGE and then link them up below for everyone to enjoy!

You can see that there are so many ways to interpret this first November challenge.  We hope you'll join us soon.  You do have the entire month to participate in all of the challenges for the month.  We can't wait to see what you make!

Design Team Call: January-April 2017

It is time to recruit some new talent and fresh faces to our Heart2Heart Design Team for the new year!  If you love Heart 2 Heart Challenges and want to share your love of creating with Close To My Heart, then consider applying for our Design Team!  If selected, your term will be January-April 2017.  If you’re still interested after reading through the requirements, send your application to h2hchallenges@gmail.com.

We will continue to have TWO Design Teams!! The teams will both have 4 month terms but will split the responsibilities with one team inspiring us one week and the other team inspiring us the next. This allows the teams members to get a little "break" and gives them additional time to get their artwork ready for their week's challenge.

If you would like to be considered for one of the teams, here is the application process:
*Email h2hchallenges@gmail.com with your name, address, blog address, email address and a little bio about you. Be sure to tell me why you want to be a part of the team and how long you have been a consultant. Also, we’d like to know where you live because we are looking for geographic diversity too.

*If you are currently serving on a design team or have in the past, tell us about that experience.  Please include a link to the challenge blog(s).

* You MUST know how to write and schedule/publish a post on Blogger. Each DT member will have a couple of weeks (scattered throughout your term) in which you are responsible for hosting/writing the Monday challenge post. Don't worry - I will be around to help out with this as well but please only apply if you are comfortable blogging.

* You must send photos of three of your pieces of artwork. DO NOT send me a link to your blog to look at your artwork there - I want you to pick what you consider three of your best and include them with the application.

ALL applications must be received by November 20.  This is a very quick turnaround time, but you will need time to start creating for January 1!  We will make the selection of the new team members by Dec. 1 with notification sent out no later than Dec. 3.  That will give you almost a month to begin creating for the kick off January 1!

Here are some more things to keep in mind about a position on the DT.  You are committing to:
*Participate in a challenge every other week (each of your team's weeks) and have your artwork for each challenge posted to the DT Facebook Group the Saturday before the challenge begins.
*Make an effort to post your artwork on any other boards/galleries you belong to and advertise our challenge blog whenever and wherever you can so we can continually grow in numbers of participants. We currently have an H2H page on Facebook that I would like DT members to join but this is optional.  (The Facebook DT group is required.)
*Participate in any extra programs that we may decide upon as a team. You are also expected to weigh in on your choices of winners in monthly awards (Top Ten) by the deadline.
*Join a Facebook Group set up specifically for team members.
*Visit the blogs of the challenge participants and leave comments.
*Serve as H2H blog hostess about once every other month.  (You must know how to use Blogger to do this.)
*Your term would be January-April 2016 with an option to renew at the end of your term.
*Possibly offer a small prize at least once during your term.

What you get in return:
* Commitment to producing artwork at least once every 2 weeks which gives you an opportunity to create on a regular basis!
* Opportunities to stretch yourself creatively with support from a great team!
* Increased blog traffic which will hopefully lead to an increase in your business!
* Fun and fellowship with the entire team and a chance to meet new consultants and CTMH fans!

I think that about wraps it up. What are you waiting for? Send in your application today!! (Any questions can be directed to me at h2hchallenges@gmail.com.)  Thanks!
