Enchantment Abounds!

Enchantment!  What a delightful theme.  I am thinking about the Enchanted Kingdom or the Enchanted Forest. What about how enchanting your favorite girl looks in her princess costume, formal dress or maybe wedding dress?  Card creations could feature castles, unicorns, stars or hearts.  Or a beautiful winter card as two of our design team members created.  And last, but not least, how about creating something beautiful from the lovely Enchantment palette from Close to My Heart?

Welcome back to another Heart 2 Heart challenge!  Don't let the calendar confuse you!  This challenge is our first August challenge so that you have an entire month (instead of just today) to participate.  You are going to participate, right?!?

Our challenge this week (though you have the month to complete) is all about friends! It is National Friendship Day on August 6th. Friends do so much for us, they are the family we chose, there are always there when we need them the most. Some of our friends are our own family. Take the time to honor your friends and share with us the project you made for them.

July 2017 Challenge #1: No Worries

Summertime, and the livin' is easy!  The current Close To My Heart Seasonal Expressions features the nautical, summer-y No Worries collection, so we are kicking off this month with the No Worries challenge.  Use the paper pack, the Workshop Your Way collection, or any twist on the theme "No Worries" and join us in July.  (The featured colors of this collection are Cashmere, Glacier, Lagoon, Sapphire, Whisper, and White Daisy.)  We have our entire team here to inspire you!

Technique Time: Watercoloring

Welcome to the final challenge for the month of June! This week, it's all about a technique - using watercolors. That may scare the pants off some of you but it really isn't as difficult as it may seem, especially if you are just starting out! There are SO many ways to use watercolors on projects - from splattering paints to detailed coloring of images to "smooshing" colors together with plastic wrap on top... the possibilities truly are endless.  You can use our watercolor palette or our watercolor pencils or even our inks could be watercolors...  How do you interpret this final June challenge?

Just a reminder that you do need to use some Close To My Heart products in your project.

Ribbon!

Welcome to another Heart 2 Heart Challenge!  This week Team Ruby is inviting you to create something awesome with ribbon.  Ribbon can be one of the best options for adding color and texture to your design.   No ribbon...no problem...how about using a ribbon stamp to accent your card or layout?  So many possibilities!  Please remember that we do ask that you use at least one Close to My Heart product on your project.

As we approach the end of the month, may we also invite you to look back at May's challenges and if you have not already done so, submit a project for each one.  We love to recognize all contributors that achieved  "Perfect Attendance"!  You can click below to go to our earlier challenges:

Background (random) Stamping

Hello and welcome to Monday where we at the Heart 2 Heart design team have another fun challenge for you. This week the challenge is to use a background that you have stamped, this can also be known as random stamping. There are no other requirements other than at least one part of your card needs to have a Close to my Heart product on it. So lets get our fingers all inked up (I mean stamps!) and start creating some awesome backgrounds for some great projects.

Falling in Love

As we are approaching the most romantic month of the calendar...February... we at Heart 2 Heart are all about Falling in Love so we made that our challenge theme this week. What are you falling in love with? Is it your family, a new puppy, a new baby, or is it the newest gadget, tool or toy? Are you newly engaged, married or just a hopeless romantic looking forward to Valentine's Day? What ever you are falling in love with, we want to know about it!

This challenge will be our first February challenge, since we know there really isn't enough time to get something made by the end of January (tomorrow).  Don't let our calendar fool you!
