In the Spotlight!

Isn't it lovely when challenges can be interpreted in different ways?  This week at Heart 2 Heart Challenges, there are two ways that you complete our challenge.

We want you to put someone or something in the spotlight! Is there a certain event that has recently happened that you would like to spotlight?  Perhaps someone you know ran in a marathon, danced in a recital, was recognized for a special award, or received a trophy on a sports team. 

Or, perhaps you have been itching to try out the spotlight technique that can be used when stamping.  Whichever way you decide to create this week, we can't wait to see your finished product!

Give Me a C - T - M - H!

Good Morning Crafters!!  Thanks to everyone who has joined us in the new year!  You have all month to play along with any of our January challenges, including our scrapbook challenge, Sentimental Journey.

This week our challenge is all about "CTMH". That's right, we want you to create a project using the letters "C", "T", "M", and "H" in some way.  You can use the letters themselves or use a product or technique using the letters.  Maybe you want to use Card stock, a Technique, etc.  OR you can come up with another clever way to incorporate the letters into your project!

Be sure to use some CTMH products in your creation, explain how your project fits this week's challenge, and of course be sure to mention your favorite challenge blog, Heart 2 Heart, in your post.

New Year, New Beginnings

It's time for the first challenge of 2014, and we're all about NEW beginnings here at Heart 2 Heart Challenges!  Our first challenge is to use something NEW on your project: maybe a new product, a new technique, a new baby, or anything that is NEW to you.  Be sure to use some CTMH products in your creation, explain how your project fits the NEW challenge, and of course be sure to mention your favorite challenge blog, Heart 2 Heart, in your post.  Thanks!

New Year, New Guest Designer

It's time to introduce our January 2014 guest designer, Debbie Bonczek!  We're so glad to have her help us kick off the new year.

Crafting has always been a part of my life, with early memories of a potholder loom and door-to-door sales when I was very young in the 70’s.  But there was a day back in 1997 when my sister-in-law’s sister took me to a scrapbooking class, and I was hooked.  It turned into a love of all things paper . . . and stamping is one of those!  I love stamping and ink, and I became a big fan of Close To My Heart shortly thereafter.  What’s not to love about those gorgeous clear stamps? 

I love the entire creative process, and these days it is my therapy and keeps me from quitting my day job, which supports my inky habits.  After a long day at the office, I try to enjoy some time cutting, folding, inking, and gluing.  I’m a big fan of challenges, because they push you to explore creativity from different angles and to think outside of the box.  They also give you the opportunity to look at everyone’s creative designs inspired by the very same challenge.  I hope you will all play along with us this month.  I’m looking forward to seeing everyone’s creativity. 

*NEW* Monthly Scrapbooking Challenges Begins TODAY!

Here at Heart 2 Heart Challenges, we have something NEW up our sleeves (or from our craft bag?) for 2014!  We are issuing a monthly scrapbooking challenge in addition to our regular weekly Monday challenges!  You will have the entire month to play along with the month's theme.  (You can find the monthly challenge by clicking on the H2H Scrapbooking tab at the top or click HERE).  That's also where you'll find the InLinkz link up tool to add your submission.)  We'll be selecting at least one of our Top 10 monthly winners (and possibly our Top Chick) from our scrapbooking contestants, so get those memories preserved, CTMH-style, and link up before the month is out.

Our January challenge is Sentimental January.

           * 12" x 12" page layout(s) involving a sentimental moment with friends, family, or pets (past or present).

           * Must use a CTMH Exclusive Stamp Set featuring a sentiment, and let's see some journaling. 

           * At least 1 photo is required.
