Meet our November Guest DT!

We have one more Guest DT to introduce before we wrap up the 2012 challenges - meet Alyson Mayo:

I fell in love with paper crafting about six years ago after attending a stamping party and discovered Close To My Heart not long after that. I signed up as a Consultant almost immediately after trying out the acrylic stamps and blocks! I’m very lucky to have a husband who supports my hobby 100%. I was fortunate enough to be invited to teach at the CTMH Toronto Regional Celebration and at Extravaganza for Close To My Heart’s Annual Convention this past summer and I hope to have that opportunity again in 2013 in Florida. I love searching the internet for creative ideas and I am most definitely a sketch-a-holic! Sketch challenges are my favourite challenges of all for both cards and layouts!

Keeping it Neutral...

Caroline here this week, with a new challenge for you:

Create a card using one or more neutral colours. 

This could be black, white, off-white, grey and/or kraft. Do NOT use any other colours!

For those of you who love colour, this could be quite a challenge! However, neutral does not have to mean boring. Think of the vintage look of black-and-white photos or the elegance of sepia-toned prints. Minimizing colour can mean adding lots of texture and layers for interest. Let your card design be the focus, rather than your colour palette. Many striking clean-and-simple cards feature a subdued or limited colour scheme, with lots of "white space." Close to My Heart chose to update their neutrals this summer, so there's lots of new shades to choose from.

You have until THIS SATURDAY, Nov. 3rd at 10:00 pm EST to enter our October challenges and be considered for the monthly Top Ten!
